I’m still convinced there was a limited Babar line before the European 2003/2004 sets. I remember my school library had a BRIO railway poster saying something like “Hey kids, read books!” and it showed one or two Babar minifigs. This had to have been 1998 or 1999 (when BRIO started to delve into licensed products, such as Theodore Tugboat and Richard Scarry’s Busytown).
